Dark heroines - Hermione by Pudsybear Dark heroines - Hermione by Pudsybear
Spent a while on this one. It's the 1st of my Dark Heroines series of paintings. I wanted to depict some famous female characters as if they were bad girls rather than good. This one is the anti twin of book worm Hermione Granger from Harry Potter. I've shown her sat seductivly chewing her wand up in one of the towers of Hogwarts overlooking the lake.
Not sure how well I did with Hermione but it was good fun and always good experience. Hopefully some Harry Potter fans can appreciate it. I'm just decided to read the books (currently on the Goblet of fire)after loving the films for some time.

Something's not right about this... I think her head is way too big for her body and her breasts don't look right at all. I know she's wearing a corset, but still... also, her tie is way too small.

I really like the idea of a "dark" Hermione but I agree with the commenter below who said this is totally out of character. Even if she were an evil version of herself, she would never dress like this or get tattoos on her tits. So yeah, not a fan of this, sorry.

Great concept, poor execution :(

.... this is a good picture but... her... her arm... >.> her ARM!

loving those shoes though. if she weren't evil now and would kill me for it, i would steal those shoes in a heartbeat.

Surely if Hermione went Dark she'd do so in a way consistent with her character, surrounding herself with Dark tomes and performing Dark spells with absolute perfection, not by dressing herself up like a prostitute. Prostitution is illegal, but that doesn't make it Dark magic. Indeed, there's nothing magical about it at all; it's degrading and mundane. Nor is there anything especially Dark about vulgar sex, even when it's not done for money.

The drawing is certainly well executed, but Hermione looks to me like a silly adolescent, not a dangerous Dark Lady. Professor Snape would burst out laughing at her get-up.

He'd also deduct fifty points from Gryffindor for her non-uniform skirt. ;)

Well as an anti Hermione maybe she would be less of a bookworm, we all know that she has a weakness for improving her looks in a shallow way as she did in the Goblet of Fire for Krum so who knows... it's just an interpretation so don't take it too seriously ;)

I'd say the Yule Ball incident shows Hermione has a weakness for neglecting her looks, not improving them (if one can call the whore-look an improvement). Only once in seven years does Hermione take the trouble to dress up and fix her hair, for only the sake of a date with an international celebrity at a ball that occurs once every century or so.

But it is, of course, all a matter of taste, and, like all fanart and fanfic, of no great importance. At least I'm paying attention! ;)
